While previous albums embraced extended jams, Forecast showcases a collection of more traditionally structured songs, with only one instrumental track on offer this time around.
Forecast maintains a natural cohesion, bottling the palpable live energy that fans have come to expect. Drummer Steve Carter, bassist Stewart Rayner, and guitarists Ezra Dowling and Matt Duffy are in top form, locked in with a tight looseness, with Rayner and Duffy sharing the majority of vocal duties.
Forecast will impress fans of outsider guitar-driven sounds. Ultimately, the album reaffirms that raw, honest, loud rock'n'roll is alive and well in Naarm/Melbourne, Australia.
